I just replaced 4 outdoor lights on my back porch. They were all completely filled up with mud dauber nests which was a bit disgusting. I have just heard that if you paint your ceiling blue it will stop the mud daubers from building nests. Before I go and paint I would like to know the truth behind this. Can anyone tell me about their experience with this possible solution?

Remember to check out the Organic Library - there is an entry that will help (but you have to remember what to call it!)

Haint Blue newsletter

I thought I saw an article that named specific colors, but I'm not able to locate it now. There is a range of shades that will work: here is a google image search that should help.
