Seems like being in an ice land would be a good thing about now. The Iceland Gull is a pale gull of far north that winters in parts of New England, seldom as far south as Texas.

It takes 4 years for this gull to reach adult plumage.

I think the bird featured below was modeled after the Herring Gull, a similar species to the Iceland gull that lacks the appeal of iceland name this time of year.
