We planted two Chinese Pistache trees last year. This year, one is extremely healthy with many leaves, but the other has many berries and far fewer leaves. We recently noticed at a few of the branches appeared to be dead. On further inspection, we noticed that on the weaker tree, there were white spots all over the trunk and branches and these spots appear to be oozing. After a while they dry and look waxy. I had intended to take several pictures, but the hard rain last night seems to have washed away some of the evidence. See the attached photo of one spot. Could these be evidence of borers and if so, what are our options.

File comment: Photo showing a single spot. These were all over the tree.
