I must have something going on in my lawn- an established redbud (12 years) up and died last year, and a Mexican plum (15+ years old) 12 feet away is now half-dead. The crape myrtle 3 feet uphill is still fine. Any ideas or suggestions for figuring out what's going on?

guess I'm organic as I haven't fertilized in years. no beds, but it's right by the street. planted the redbud 12-14 years ago, and the plum before that.

Need more info to be able to help. I am assuming you are organic, but is that correct? Do you have beds around your trees? Are they new? Have you applied any pesticides or herbicides to those areas?
