I transplanted all of my mother's iris bulbs to my full sun beds three years ago and they appear to be healthy and thriving but have not bloomed at all. I live south of Austin and have high alkaline soil (7.0). I amend my beds with organic composted soil every spring and follow an organic program. They are not planted deeper than is recommended nor does drainage appear to be an issue although I am open to any suggestions. :?

Here's some reasons you might want to consider.

Thank you Sandi for the link. I've also been checking out the Iris Society of Dallas and I believe I'm going to need to add some sulfur to the beds to neutrilize my ph levels.
