I have the pleasure of filling raised beds inside a new school greenhouse with soil, but I am trying to find out what the best mix is for this purpose. I was looking at Soil Menders Raised Bed Mix -- the composition looks very good, but the price is cumbersome -- I need over 200 cubic feet of soil. At $9 a cubic foot, our school can't afford to use it 100%. Initially we will plant vegetables and herbs in the greenhouse. Can anyone provide any other ideas?

If you've got a truck you can go to Living Earth Technology and load up on good top soil and compost. Look them up and see where the locations are. I know of one on California Crossing close to where NW HWY meets 114 in Irving.
