I am concerned with my Chinese Pistache tree. The tree is about 9 years old and has grown wonderfully each year. This year it has more berries than I have ever seen but few leaves and now some of the leaves are turning brown and drying up. It is in a well drainaed area and we have been watering about once a week in between rains. I planted 4 new Chinese Pistache trees this year and they are doing fine as well as the older established Chinese Pistache trees (about 9 years old as well.)

Try deeply watering it. Although we had a wet winter, the spring had high winds, and this 100 degree temps hit pretty quick. Uneducated guess is that it got too dry.
