 Post subject: Fall edamame?

Wondering if anybody has tried edamame as a fall crop. If so, when did you plant? What variety worked? Looking for something to be a productive, nitrogen fixing cover crop and food crop for a raised bed after pulling out summer crops. Thanks!

As an alternative--has anybody tried fall chickpeas/garbanzos? My concern there is more work post harvest (drying the pods)--comments?
