Give the Herb Market in Carrollton a call. They maybe able to help you.I purchase their peppermint oil and mix with alcohol as a repellant, but it would sting if it got in mucouse membranes.

Try Cactus Juice. It's gentle, effective and perfect for a child. It's made from prickley pear cactus. There's a spray formula or a cream and one with a mild sunscreen too. I know there are several places around the DFW metroplex that carry it but Marshall Grain and Natural Living in NRHills I KNOW have it. I've used it for 2 years and pretty much just put it on every morning. Call around to find out where you can get it. I didn't get bitten one single time last year.

Skeeter D'Feeter also has a little citronella spray that's fine for use on even the smallest children. It smells nice and it has geranium oil in it to soothe the skin. I use that sometimes too, when I forget my Cactus Juice. Most of the Lowes stores in Texas have it now.

Cedarcide is an organic repellant made in Spring, TX. They have a web site www.cedarcide.com with info about outlets by state. Daughter using it on kids and really likes it.
