Hey there from 7,000 feet above, in Colorado. I am new to the forum format so please excuse this post if it's i the wrong place.
I am here to learn, and or teach if the subject is high altitude organic.
I have a question to pose, well probably many once I get going, but would like to know if any of you have used the product TREX as a building material for anything organic. I've always heard that red wood is the best, but jeez, can't we quit cutting down trees? So, does any one know about TREX as an alternative, will it leach any thing into the soil, are there any decaying issues over time....any info appreciated, Thanks

Welcome! CO, huh-sooo beautiful! DOn't get discouraged if we can't find all the answers for you. I've heard of TREX but don't know about the safety. Will google it.

The TREX.com website has a ton of info-claims to be environmentally friendly. I was impressed. :)

The only negatives I've seen are that it is very heavy and mildews easily, but that can be cleaned with the orange oil spray at 2 oz per gallon.
