I am always curious about how people design (or not) their vegetable and /or herb gardens and really enjoy seeing pictures.

Can we do a "show and tell"? Post images of your current garden! I'll update this message with some recent images. Also, tell us what we are looking at in case we can't ID them from the pictures.

Thanks!

Ok, heere's mine but it was a few wks ago. Since then the corn tasseled & then the rain beat it down to the ground. :( Lots of the stalks had ears, too.

I tried corn one year. They got about a foot tall then something ate them to the ground. Your property looks lovely and wooded. Do you have a lot of space?

Also, I know how to post a link to images that are on a server somewhere, but how do you post images like you did...right on this website with no link?

Here's a picture taken this morning. I can't get back far enough to see the whole garden but starting from the left there is an asparagus bed, one raised bed with onions, three raised beds that are contained within the "greenhouse" that I cover with plastic for the winter, two more raised beds that have various seasonal plants in them, a PVC structure that covered my brussel sprouts last winter, now they have potatoes and squash under them, next is sweet corn, then watermelon and sweet potato vines and last I have about 20 heirloom tomato plants.

Compost bins are in the far background outside the garden.

Excellent Tony! Love it. I am so envious.

Please tell me how to post a picture like you did, not a link.

I chose that spot for the garden b/c it was fairly open & we can see it from the porch of our 'shed'. Should have written down where the sun would be in the late spring & summer, tho, b/c the corn is in too much shade, I think.

Anyway, we have 20 ac & about 1/2 is wooded. Have a hard time finding the 'right spot' for a LOT of things. What you can see of the woods in back of the garden was completely covered in vines 4 years ago!

Tony, not to bad-mouth your link about posting a pic, but thought I'd put in my $.02. (b/c I'm from MO & you for sure have to show me. :) )

FIrst, your pictures have to be in a file on your 'puter. THEN go to photobucket & create 'my album'. Upload the pictures you want on that site. The photos will have 3 lines under each pic. The bottom line is the one you want to highlight if you want the pic to appear here & not just the link.

So-highlight that line, it will 'copy' for you. Then come back here to the forum. Click on 'reply' & when the box comes up to type in, click your cursor one time. Go up to 'edit' & hit 'paste' There you go!!

Patty

OK Sandi, here's what I do. Open the DD forum and click on Img. I use www.allyoucanupload.com but there are many others. Follow the easy steps, 1,2,3.
Hit preview on the forum page after the image link is posted to see if it is OK. If OK, add text and submit.

I'll try again for next time. I submitted by link to the online album I keep for this year's garden above.
