 Post subject: Post-op tree care

After a girdling root has been cut at either end, is there a treatment the tree should be given to lessen the shock of the amputation?

As Craig stated, the main thing is to have a clean, smooth cut. Some people clean wounds with household peroxide & apply tree trunk goop.
