SNOW!!

No work today. Our workplace is closed.
Is anyone else at home? Is your fireplace "going"?

I sure miss having a fireplace. I do not even have one of those great gas heaters with the fancy white structure within that retains the heat from the flames. Those are so pretty!

I have to roast mini-marshmallows with a toothpick over a soy candle with a lead-free wick. Oh well, one day I shall have a fireplace again.
One thing for certain is that I went out on my porch to check the mail and decided I had enough of that coldness for the day!

Fortunately, I had put down a cubic yard of ph-balanced compost from Soil Building Systems (best compost in town)! - half an inch over 80% of my yard - the day before. I also placed floating row cover over my north-facing garden the night before the freeze!
