Has everone seen the new adds they make it look good for you is it?

How natural could it really be, the “5” ingredients are…
1. Filtered carbonated water
2. High fructose syrup
3. Natural Citric acid
4. Natural flavors
5. Natural potassium citrate
I know the process for HFS could be considered natural you know other the subjecting something your eating to bacteria and fungus. But dose anyone else know about the other ingredients.

It is NOT GOOD for you.

It doesn't matter if it is all natural because it contains high fructose corn syrup, a refined sweetener. All healthy people groups in the past have eaten moderate amounts of natural sweeteners. Americans eat way too much sugar, and mostly as refined sugar which is so much worse.

REFINDED sugars are very bad for people's bodies and high fructose corn syrup is one of the worst. It is very cheap to produce, which is why it is used in so many foods, but the body does not react to it as it does to natural sweeteners. It is suspected of causing lots of problems in our bodies from insulin resistance to low magnesium levels leading to osteoporosis.

You can google it and find lots of information. It is one of the foods on my list of 'NEVER' to eat.

I would suggest reading about good food choices (after reading enough to convince yourself that it is bad). One suggestion would be to read 'Nourishing Traditons' by Sally Fallon.

A good point...
Mmy biggest complaint is the “Natural Label” they are giving it. It’s these new catch phrases drive me nuts. I feel like we the natural way growers and fans have started a new movement and just in time the big food companies come in and pervert it to make them selves more money.

Had I just take the there word for it I might have started drinking 7up thinking it was better for me then other soft drinks, when really its just about the same as it was. Dose any one know what the old non-natural ingredients were?

good reading on making high fructose corn syrup.

Alpha-amylase is industrially produced by a bacterium, usually Bacillus sp

glucoamylase is produced by Aspergillus, a fungus, in a fermentation vat where one would likely see little balls of Aspergillus floating on the top

glucose-isomerase

Yummy!

The Weston A. Price foundation (the link you provided) has a lot of good information. Sally Fallon's book, Nourishing Traditions, is based on the research done by Weston A. Price. All the false advertising and claims about foods is very sad and misleading.

I use two criteria to determine if a food is good or bad to eat.

1. If it is as close to the form given to us by God in nature (unprocessed and the meaning of natural to me), then it is probably good for me. Of course, natural sweets still need to be minimized and a healthy balance of foods is important. Eating what is in season will help you find that balance.

2. If it is processed, refined or contains altered or manmade ingredients(artificial ingredients, colors, etc.) then it is probably bad for me.

Be careful with meats, because the quality of the meat is determined by the conditions in which it was raised and its diet. Check out the recent posting of sources of better quality meats.

Though it can seem overwhelming at first, it is not that hard to cook simple meals from scratch using all natural (organic when possible) ingredients. The downside is it is hard to shop at a regular grocery store that carries so little real, natural food. But, real food tastes great, you will have more energy and vitality, and soon the thought of drinking a soda or eating other heavily processed food will be very unappealing so the advertising will become a waste of money for the company. Help educate others.
