Does anyone know if there is a company who does root flares in the Granbury area? (I attempted to do this myself with water, but stopped because I was actually afaid of damaging something.) We actually live in Pecan Plantation and have quite a few pecan trees. We went oranic last year (had Chemlawn the first yr..until I started listening to the Dirt Dr.) and when I was spraying nematodes this year I noticed quite a ant procession into two of our trees. One had been pruned by a previous owner or the orchard workers and the ants are now pouring into the "wounds" that were left. Whoever did this pruned back to the trunk....no telling how many yrs back. I hate to loose the tree but am at a loss to what to do now. :(

I think root flare services goes out further than anyone else. You might also try preservation tree service. Both are listed in the directory and just a phone call away.
