I'm looking for a qualified speaking on the benefits of feeding DE to horses. If you can direct me to a likely candidate, please do so.
I'm not hard to find.

I would think that checking with Muenster would be the first place to check since they make this feed for horses. Let us know your results.

I am not sure what qualified means but I have been
using DE on animals since 1997 on horses and 1999
on cows.
On horses I have not seen a bot fly in 7 years. I have
not chemically wormed a horse since 98 and they are
doing very well.
I have a friend that thinks DE doesn't worm animals
but creates such a healthful condition with trace
minerals that the animals can resist parasites.
Pat Coleby - Down Under - says that every disease in
animals can be traced to lack of some trace mineral.
Linus Pauling made the same statement about people.
Since there are no trace minerals in the food we buy
in grocery stores, and since there are no trace minerals
in the hay (except for a hand full of people like us) and
grains we feed animals is any wonder why there are
diseases and degenerative diseases - 65% of adult
population has a degerative disease. Supplements will
never substitute for trace minerals in the plants that
animals eat - if it is available.

I'm about to put it to the test myself. I've had my horse on nothing but Muenster, hay, Missing Link and DE for over a year now. The next time the vet comes out, we're going to test her for worms. I'm convinced, but it would be nice to have the test results and see the look on my doubting vet's face.

Robert Bard - We absolutely agree on all this. I'm devoted to promote these alternatives and I'm trying to bring a speaker to the fold who can help to give a qualified speech.

I'll keep checking and try to bring information back. Please let me know how things turn out, Eden's Garden. I'd like to know.
Thanks to all for your input.
