Anyone else having problems now with the "View posts since last visit" link? When I click on the link it shows the new posts, but when I click on one of the new posts I get an empty box.

I haven't seen that one yet, but I that doesn't mean I don't believe it's been happening for you..... :D

I'll keep an eye out for it and see if I can duplicate, thanks!

I have a differerent version. When I click on the 'View posts since last visit' link sometimes it shows no new post since last visit. But if I click on the button a short time later, it will now show all the posts since my last visit. Suspect there is "bug" in the code. It happens approx 2 - 3 times a week. Is there any one else seeing my version. This started after the update was done. Also my avatar will no longer show. I recommend that the Web Master take a look at the code to find out what is causing these two issues.

I believe this is a known bug, but I'll check.....

I'm sorry, but I'm not clear on this one.....I can see your picture of a compost bin next to your message, are you saying that you can't?

Thanks!

Admin,
Thanks for 'fixing' my avatar problem. Now I am able to see it. It was missing from my profile as well. First I had a box with the red x, then it completely disappeared. Now it is back.

As of early monday morning it is still doing the same thing. When you go to click on a new post there is nada nothing there. This site is having way to many problems and ever since the change over there has been less participation. Just what it seems to me.

I am also seeing new posts with date of 02/11/2005. Are we posting for the future. When I click the button, I see the same 5 posts. even though I read them in the past. Is this feature currently locked and not available?
It won't let me log out either. I have also noticed alot less posts since changing over.
Admin, you need to look at this issue as well.

There were some hardware issues that our hosting provider is attending to that caused the date issue, that is currently being worked to resolution....I apologize for the inconvenience, but can assure that it's a temporary glitch....

I, too, have had these problems & some of the posts keep coming back, even tho there are no new replies. And I guess the date problem is fixed?
Another thing is 'who's on line'. I doubt there are so many on every time...
Patty

Patty,
I noticed that Sunday during Howard's show. I just thought that people were posting questions in hope that Howard may answer them on the air. I have never seen so many folks logged in at one time.

Admin. Thanks for the hardware problem answer.

I think that the "online users" count is back to normal now. For the last few days it would not let me log out. I accessed this forum from another computer and I could see that I was still online, along with 54 others.

I noticed a few of you could actually post comments, I could not. I kept getting a "you cannot post so soon..." message, whatever that means.

Does anyone know what happened? Maybe in the future, if this happens again we could get some sort of update posted here by an administrator.

Along with the problems above I noticed that the members list included "joined" dates from the 1960s. That's quite impressive that this forum has been around for that long.

It looks like things are back to normal, and we appreciate everyone's patience.....In a nutshell, a small number of users got caught up in an issue where the system thought they had posted in the future (2/11), creating the errors and posting problems you saw....Our programmers have been hard at work correcting that issue and it looks like they're very close, if not already there, to resolving it.....

I didn't post a general announcement to all because it affected a small number of users and I didn't want to create even more confusion by alerting everyone to something that didn't affect them....I may reconsider that stance in the future...

We appreciate everyone's patience as we worked through the problem...

Thanks!
