:? I have a rose plant that has buds that are not blooming. Does anyone have any information on what might be the cause?

Is your rose inside or outside? Large or mini? My minis are still blooming but my large roses stopped weeks ago. You might try a foliar feed with seaweed & compost tea. Have you fertilized lately? It might just be the weather. Some rose species won't bloom if it's not hot enough. They'll save the energy for a time when they have a better chance of the blooms procreating. In any case, roses LOVE cornmeal feed so a cup or so at its feet will make it happy and get it ready for winter, and it might just make the blooms pop out too!

i don't know your weather where you are. i have roses now, early dec. that have many buds but are not going to bloom because of temps at night that are too cool. i don't perceive that as a rose problem, but typical of roses in the fall with unpredictable weather.
