I have been using Tall Fescue grass for my lawn and practically did half a small yard with it. Love the color and the fullness of it but I just read that it grows 2-4 feet!!? So I basically bought a grass for the marshlands because they recommend I dont mow it under 3 inches which I have been doing.
I do however realize it grows even when planted in summer.

OK So heres my question to you. Which grass is good for these conditions?

Stamford,CT 06902
15% grade of land so lots of water runs down
I want a full grass where you dont see the dirt
Color not important (green of course)
Patial shade to partial sun.
Good above 90 degrees in summer

Hi Seedling,
You might want to ask these folks as this forum is based in Texas.

Hope this helps,

Tall fescue is what you want. I don't understand your problem???

Yes it does grow very high if you have it in a pasture, but you have it in a lawn. You mow it and everyone's happy. With that slope you want tall fescue for the root structure. You can have a gully washer of a flood and the grass roots will hold tight. That's what you want, isn't it? Tall fescue is your best grass.
