Hi there:
I have a three year old Paw paw tree which I bought in east texas and planted at our ranch in Emory. It bloomed black blooms for the first time this year but no paw paws. Does it require another of the same kind to bear fruit?

Not sure about Paw Paw Pollination....try saying that three times fast!

Even if it is self pollenating, if it's anything like other fruit trees I am familiar with, you'll get a few years of small blooming, getting more each year, then a year with the odd fruit here and there and then one or two years later- BAM! Fruit everywhere.
