Hello,

I had a question about ground cover. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what would be a good ground cover to plant in a infant/childs play area in the back yard. Since she's (my daughter) is going to eat a substantial amount of it(despite our best efforts) it would have to grow quickly and be non-toxic.

Basically looking for something soft and easy to manage. Would stand up well to being crawled on and the occasional grazing.

We live in Arlington TX.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Thomas Erwin

Sounds like a lawn to me!

Groundcovers, I think, have too much "texture" for comfortable crawling.

(woody stems, sharp edged leaves, gaps where the hard hard mulch or bare soil would be in contact with her skin.)
