I would like to get definitive info on the safety, or lack thereof, of using tires as planters in the garden. Do the Organic Standards make any mention of using tires as planters? Where would I access the Organic Standards online to do a search?

My concern is possible leaching of the toxics, used in the manufacture of tires, into the garden soil.

John Fritz.

CK the posts below. All I can give you are opinions. It seems like you have doubts about using tires in your garden. I wouldn't use them. I have no hard facts, just using common sense (my opinion & two bits).
