Hi,

I was hoping I might be able to get some advice on underground ant piles. I read the treatment for big fireant mounds, and plan on doing that this weekend to the 2 big mounds we have in our backyard. However almost a bigger problem is the hundreds of underground little mounds all over our backyard.

You can't actually see any ants when you disturb these little mounds, and I would literaly have to hook the solution up to a massive sprayer and cover my entire backyard. Is there anything else I can do? Will the nematodes help?

Thanks so much!

Ck out the Dirt Doctor's answer below. A lot of ants are beneficial. The reason so many are visible is that the soil is wet/moist and they are working to set up their home. Yes, nematodes do help with a lot of underground critters.
