If anyone has infomation on organic bermuda sod removal, it would be a lot of help.

I have heard of the orange oil/vinegar till, reapply, till, but how often should this be done and how long before planting?

Thanks!

Confused :?

Bermuda is a tough grass to get rid of, especially by removing it. It only takes one piece of stolon or rhyzome to continue the grass. You can try using vinegar on it but it didn't have any long term effects on my bermuda. If you do use vinegar, I think you can reseed as soon as the vinegar dries. You should not be using vinegar as a soil drench so the soil and seeds should be unaffected. Vinegar is only a foliar spray.

What are you planning to do with the area once the bermuda is gone?

Another thing you could try is to smother it out. Bermuda, like other grasses, does not like to be buried. Cover it with an inch of mulch or compost and it will be severely weakened for months to come.
