I was at Central Market today (Coit/190) and saw that they were carrying lots of heirloom varieties of tomatoes, with a couple of peppers (not heirloom) too. There was one heirloom tomato I was interested in but they didn't have any more, but that got me thinking ... Where could I find some interesting varieties of tomatoes, peppers, and other "regular" garden veggies in this area? I see a lot of things available by mail, but most of what I see locally is the same few varieties from one of the big companies.

Any suggestions?

Jen

This has what you are looking for! Variety is a great thing to have in your garden. Think of companion plants as well. Roses love tomatoes, etc.
