I am working at Warren Laboratories in Abbott, Texas and we are in the process of building a retail center to sell our aloe products. We are also going to have a deli inside. The owner wants me to grow the veggies that we will be putting on the sandwiches. Does anyone know if there are any regulations for me to grow these veggies since we will be serving them to the public? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I went to the website I suggested because I had a similar question about selling some of my organic tomatoes to a small grocer in E. Dallas. Here's the response I got from the Dept. of Health. Below that will be the email address of the person that responded in case you have add'l questions.

The rules for Licensure of food manufacturers and Food Wholesalers...
state "this section does not apply to: a person, firm, or corporation that
harvests, packages, washes, or ships raw fruits and vegetable.." As
long as the tomatoes fall under the definition below, you will be exempt from licensure as a food wholesaler. If you will be wholesaling any other
products that does not fall under this definition, you will need to
contact this office. The rules and regulations are available on our website at www.tdh.state.tx.us/bfds/lic.
