Organic1 is absolutely correct! They do make some natural grain vinegars besides just apple cider vinegar in many grocery stores or health food stores. Remember to check the labels and ingredients carefully before buying for your gardening needs.

I want to officially apologize for my ignorance about using vinegar in aerobic teas. I've been doing some research reading up on Arden Andersen, and his philosophies about foliar teas and the foliar food web.

I didn't know that acidic foliar teas tend to form better flowers and fruit, and alkaline foliar teas tend to increase foliage, regardless of your soil pH, even if it's near neutral 7.0 !.

He uses vinegar and household ammonia in his experiments. Vinegar is very acidic and ammonia is very alkaline. He mentions that by using a high carboneous chelating agent like molasses or any sugar, it buffers and balances the vinegar and ammonia in solution, so that it doesn't harm the plants nor the microherd living on the plant and in the soil.

Good Captain,
Apology accepted but no need to apologize. We all are in a learning stage.
The only dumb or stupid question is the one that does not get asked. We each learn from each other. It seems like each one of us knows something about organics and when you put all of us together you have a complete organic program. I have learned so much from your posts that I feel like I am 100% further now, in learning about organics, then I was last year this time do to all the great info exchanged on this forum. Everyone keep up the good work and maybe in the future we can get the rest to see the advantages of being 100% organic and get rid of the nasty chemicals.
Thanks for letting me express my 2 cents worth.
