We put in a salt water pool recently with a moss rock water fall and moss rock around one side instead of coping. We are planning the landscaping before buying plants. I would like something that would drape over the rocks/maybe even grow onto the rocks. We want to go for as tropical a look as possible in our climate. We want lots of green. Any suggestions? Full afternoon sun. Also would bromeliads grow on the rocks?

Let us know where you live so we can suggest some plants.

I'm a bit ignorant on this subject. What is a SALT WATER POOL?

Instead of using chlorine, we use salt tablets:sort of like gigantic rock salt. They both do the same thing. It takes a different type pump and filteration system. Cost more to install, but is cheaper in the long run. You also don't have to store all those dangerous chemicals. It is much easier on eyes, skin, swimsuits. The water has a very mild salt taste. Nothing like the ocean, but you can tell you are in salt water. Friends of the family have had one for about 6 years...they have had both types and will heartly recommend salt.
