I inherited two peach trees with the house I bought and they were in bad shape. The one has quite a large branch that is about two foot from the base and is growing horizontally. It is now causing the tree to lean pretty bad. Should I prune the branch or is there an alternative?

My uncle has quite a few pecan trees that are about 70 years old. The one has lost almost all of its leaves except for those at the top and the ends of the branches. Is there any way to help his tree? I sure would feel guilty using that wood to barbecue with--and it would probably take 100 years to go through all that wood.

Can you send some photos. If not, better an arborist like Moore Tree Care to come out and give some advice on site. They can do the work if needed.
