I am new to organic gardening (1 year) and in May added a fairly large perennial bed in our back yard. I excavated the soil, added compost, lava sand and Texas greensand, then planted all Texas natives. I am so impressed with the results! The bed is beautiful, however, I made the mistake of putting some of the plants too close together. I would like to transplant some of these to make more room. When is the best time to do this?

In Fall after it cools off. They will have time for the roots to get re-established, and the heat won't stress them. Plus they will be much more likely to bloom well next Spring and Summer.
