A bird has been collecting twigs on the ground under a pine tree in our yard. It isn't a very full tree, so the twigs are pretty much in the open. There must be 75 to 100 twigs (plus the occasional dryer lint & string) put there there in the past 2 weeks. It's scattered over about a 2' x 2' area. It's not a rabbit. One family member thinks she's seen a mockingbird there. These twigs are about 10" to 1 1/2' long, up to 1/4" in dia.
Does anyone have any ideas?
