local gravel, rock etc dealerships has what they label as 'mushroom compost' says it comes from maypearl, tx. i bought a load it was still lightly steaming when they dug into it. when i got it home there were still pieces of vegetative material in it. didn't put it out just pilled it up, looks a lot like it is more straight up cow manure.
there used to be a mushroom farm in hillsboro that sold off used compost but it has gone out of business.
question to anybody-
IS there a mushroom farm in maypearl or are they scamming folks?

I tried searching but I only get a hit on a mushroom farm in Gonzales, TX. You might want to question them more closely about their source.
