Not sure, that Listerine is very organic but, I would like to think it beats using one of the chemical bug killers.
Anyone tried this?? work or no?

I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared.
The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and us ed it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And viola! That worked as well. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby.

This was an email to me.

I have read that very diluted alcohol sprays can be used as a pesticide.
However be careful! Any kind of pesticide (sustainable or not), should only be used as a last resort and in moderation.

True organic and sustainable pest management is first about feeding and protecting the soil. Using cover crops and attracting beneficial organisms into your gardening system as much as possible. Using natural pesticides is always last.

Happy Gardening!

Mosquitoes may be repelled with garlic spray. The best way to minimize mosquitoes is public awareness and a proactive approach. Standing water is a big no-no if allowed to stand for several days.
