What we have is a place where we put fall leaves, two huge 'bins' and then we add things like kitchen scraps (not meats or such) and we really do not have a 'compost' bin that heats and such, but we are working on that. what we want to know, is how can we make tea with this, can things be added to the compost tea such as 'alfalfa, cottonseed meal, molasses' I guess I just need to know about compost tea and what you can use for additives. We keep leaves on the garden all the time, we mulch our plants with leaves, so far that has been very good, but we know our soil needs more and we want to brew the tea and keep adding more good things, we are just unsure about adding alfalfa, cottonseed meal and such, but we read where its good for the soil, so can it be added into the tea.
