I have a problem with Sharpshooters in my Crape Myrtles. I use 1/4 cup citrus oil in 2 gallons of water (with a small amount of dish soap). I spray this solution and the bugs definitely hate it. However, the control is insufficient. The solution needs to strike them directly and the bugs just move from one tree to the next. I could live with the problem except for one tree which hangs directly over where I need to park my car. The persistent rain of honeydew from the bugs is a big mess. Does anyone have a suggestion for elimination of these pests?
