it appears that a line has been drawn in my back yard: healthy st. augustine on one side and nothing but dallis (sp) grass on the other. have been organic for about 8 years. would love to get rid of it and back to the bermuda that used to be there. any ideas?

I'm confused. You now have St Augustine but you want bermuda?

part of my lawn is st. augustine and part was bermuda. the dallis grass has taken over the bermuda. i have probably spent $300 on 20% vinegar solution; the weed turns brown like it is dying out but returns in 1-2 weeks.

Is there a lot of shade or evening shade in that area where the Dalis Grass is dominant?

I'm still confused. You want both St Augustine and bermuda? What are you trying to do with this combination? Usually St Augustine will choke out bermuda. It probably will not choke out the dallis grass but I find it very easy to pull out when the St Aug is mowed high.
