Hi! My lantanas were beautiful back in April & May with blooms, but now they are not blooming and there is a white residue of something on the leaves. What do I do? Thanks for your help!

I'm guessing it's powdery mildew on the leaves. First make sure it's getting plenty of sun and switch to watering in the morning. My guess is maybe you're watering in the evening which means the plant is staying too water too long. Also make sure the plant is in an area with good air circulation.

Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong but I would recommend mixing cornmeal into the soil around the plant since powdery mildew is a fungal disease. Also you can mix cornmeal in water, strain it then spray it on the leaves as well.

Consult Howard's Organic Gardening Manual for specific amounts and other tips.
