Hi all!

My name is Shonda and I live in Deep East Texas. I am absolute stunned that I found a forum for organic gardening and one that has many Texas members no less. I have found it hard to find anyone in my area who is interested in gardening organically. Most just roll their eyes at the overly-green me. This is really awesome! I am pretty new to gardening, and am looking forward to learning lots from this site!

Shonda ,
I want to second the welcome from jrosto and say that we are happy to have another organic person join our side. As you read the many posts you, like the rest of us, will learn so much on how to improve our lives by getting rid of the nasty chemicals and start to live a much healthier life. Your neighbors will be asking why your lawn and garden looks so much better then theirs. Just maybe they will also realize that being organic is so much better for all of us and change from using the nasty chemicals. The veggies taste so much better from the garden as well.
Feel free to ask questions, after all thats how we learn, answer any questions, or just post some of your experiences. We are all here to learn from each other in hopes that some day we can convert everyone over from the dark side, as Howard says, to being organic.

Howdy Shonda and welcome to the garden bunch.

Poke around the various forums and see what's available for you and always feel free to add your experiences and suggestions.
