My cantaloupes are huge, but not sweet at all, they are actually nasty tasting.
Is there a reason for this?

What is your watering program?
What is your fertilization program?

You may need to adjust your watering and your soil is most likely lacking some trace minerals. Have you had your soil tested?

Here's some information on cantalopes: http://www.dirtdoctor.com/Cantaloupe_vq2821.htm
