i am just curious to see what specific types of garlic folks are having luck with in texas. my limited experience is with elephant garlic and it has done well. however, i would like to try something else. reading tells me that stiffneck are the best for use in the kitchen and for making your own garlic powder but that they are primarily for the cold country. is there any stiffneck varieties that anyone in texas (specifically central texas) has had reasonable luck with? and where might one get bulbs for planting?

thanks

marty

From Howard's "organic Vegetable Gardening" book, he also suggests Texas White variety.

Can anyone else chime in with you successful garlic stories? What variety and where did you get the bulbs for planting?
