I made the newbie mistake of buying bare root plants from an online vendor. I thought, "oh wow, Oak Leaf Hydrangeas for $3 a piece. Woo Hoo." Well, it turns out that they are not oakleafs at all.

I have four that are about 18". They have rooted and are filling out nicely, but I've yet to see them bloom.

If you want them, let me know via email. jeffhelland (@) gmail (dot) com

They are in the ground so you'll need to bring pots (i have some gallons, i think) or something. Friday is best or we can arrange for another day.

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm in Hachie but have never grown Hydeangeas before and don't know much about them. What kind are they? Would they do well in afternoon sun in a container?

I'm not sure what they'll turn out to be. But I think they'll be the PeeGee's. Which have a white snowball flower. I really couldn't say.

As far as full afternoon sun, I think that might be a little much for them in the summer months. Maybe someone else has more experience. I'm relatively inexperienced with these.
