I went to a cooperative extention class in McKinney last night about pond management. Texas Parks and Wildlife did a nice job. We met at the County Youth Farm where they have a stocked pond about 4-5 acres. The Biologists brought the survey boat with them and did a shocking demonstration. I mean literally! They have electrical wires in the water off the front end of the boat and a man scoops up the temporarily stunned fish to measure, identify and release. One of the things they mentioned strongly was to remove small bass and expecially brim on a regular basis. Here's the hook - I'm looking to catch some big brim (sunfish). If you have a farm pond somewhere near McKinney and need to have some of the fish harvested, plese let me know.
