Hello there! First time writing-in. I appreciate any guidance on the care of Encore Azaleas, in general, and on the brown spots they have developed all over the leaves.
They are starting their Spring bloom and seem healthy (blooming, new growth, etc.), but brown spots and discoloration are covering all the leaves. They are in a sunny, well drained area and have bloomed twice every year since planting in 2005. I believe they need more soil acidity than normal in this area (Plano). Could soil prep/nourishment be part of the issue? Any Suggestions on regular care to ensure proper nourishment and soil care?

THanks!

Azaleas are acid-loving plants, so optimum PH levels in the soil are between 5.5 and 6.5, you can get a test kit at home depot or other stores like it. However I had the same problem with the brown spots on other plants of mine, turns out I had used too much manure and I was told it was "burning" my plants. After mixing in more regular soil my plants fared alot better. Not sure which one is the problem, but hope that helps.
