Hi.
I posted this in the insect and disease forum earlier.
My situation is I bought a house with mature fruit trees.
I have a late blooming peach tree with evidence of brown rot. There are hanging "mummies" in the tree and some on the ground.
I want to prevent this from spreading to the other trees. And to get this tree healthy again.

Any advice as to what to do would be GREATLY appreciated! :)
I am new to organics. And this is my first house so I am new to keeping things alive.
thanks!

You have two different problems I believe. The brown rot is symptomatic of peach trees. There are no native peach trees in DFW so we should expect to have to do some babysitting. They are short lived and fall prey to a number of problems. The proactive approach is to get these ill-adapted trees as healthy as possible. Use the sick tree treatment and follow the free advice Howard provides in his organic handouts. You can download them from this site. The "mummies" you speak of are probably bagworms. Go to this website in Arlington to confirm my suspicion.
