Our Ag agent has identified an ailment on my peppers as Alternaria Leaf Spot. He says it is soil based and spreads when rain splashes up on the leaves. He suggested that I try Neem oil to control it. I have had this for several years and it causes pepper production to be very low especially with bell peppers. Plants are somewhat stunted and after a rain lots of leaves fall off as well as the flowers. Prior to having this problem I had great peppers for many years. I do use lots of compost and have been using Garrett Juice this year, but the peppers are still stunted. Anyone have any organic suggestions?

Neem oil is organic; good for killing problem bugs & as a fungicide. You could also use cornmeal in your soil and a cornmeal juice spray to control the problem. This would be horticultural or whole ground corn meal, not corn gluten meal.
